It started at Schiphol during boarding where all the Chinese passengers 'aaah' & 'oooh' - ed at Nelson (whereas all others thought: 'oh my, a baby on board. Pray my seat is on the other side')
It never stopped ever since: everywhere he goes, Chinese men and women peek at him, poke at him, point at him, laugh at him, make faces, ask if he's a boy or girl and much more that I don't understand.
One policeman yesterday had a lightbulb moment when he realized that foreign babies are just like Chinese babies, only cuter. Indeed.

And people don't point at you and stare at the red haired giraffe?
That's the good thing, not anymore... baby giraffe is even more interesting
