Shanghai Trance

We're back in Shanghai after a lovely sunny Dutch summer. It's all a big contrast with the canals of Amsterdam, the lush green around the city and the short distances to everywhere.
To get back in the groove of Shanghai we watched 'Shanghai Trance', by Dutch director David Verbeek (2008). The story is about nothing particular: three couples moving around town becoming more depressed by the day. But with the subtitles switched off it gives a beautiful impression of the old and the new megacity. And compliments for turning Shanghai's noise into music. Watch the first 15 minutes and you know what I mean.
